Ukraine has significant potential for the use of small river resources (mainly in the western regions), accounting for almost 28% of the total hydro potential of Ukraine.

 

The capacity of small hydro units increased by 15 MW last year, totaling more than 1 GW.

The expected future capacity of small hydro power generation in Ukraine is almost 4 GW.
